As LaCoste Design approaches our 10 year anniversary, it seemed about time to update our brand. As we continue to do more and more brand identity projects, it also made sense to demonstrate what we preach. And since reincorporating the business in Florida and making a name change, the job had to get done! Not an easy task for any creative agency, because we're always more concerned with doing work for our clients and not ourselves.
I've done a lot of networking the past 6 months in the Tampa Bay area, and so many of us in the design business say the same thing in our elevator pitches Everyone is good at what they do. They do high-end work. Are excellent at customer service. Utilize all the latest technology. It goes on and on. We've all heard it and said it ourselves. I'm no exception. But until a potential client sees our work, none of those pitches and words mean too much.
After being in this business for 24 plus years now, and after all the changes the industry has gone through in the past decade, I've had to return to the original reason I continue to love to do this work. It's the passion and the desire to excel. To make something better. There's an energy that propels me to not just do a job, but to always go beyond what is expected, or deemed good enough. And harnessing that energy's power and releasing it in a way that leaves a lasting, positive impression in the world is my constant challenge. This is what my team and I bring our clients no matter how big or small their needs and goals may be. It's the one thing I know for sure. -kl
